The photographer

Hello, I’m Elena

A wedding and portrait photographer for the quietly sentimental – the people who keep ticket stubs, replay voicemails, and never want an evening to end.

The short version

By trade, I photograph weddings, portraits, and the occasional lookbook. By temperament, I’m the person who notices – the father rehearsing his toast in the hallway, the ring bearer asleep before dinner, the glance that crosses a crowded room and lands exactly where it was aimed.

Ten years and some two hundred weddings in, I’ve learned that the best photographs are rarely the ones anyone planned. So I work quietly and stay close: shaping a moment when it needs it, and knowing when to leave one alone.

What you can expect from me is simple: a calm presence, honest direction when you want it, and a schedule that protects the good light. And yes, I will find your grandmother for the portrait she’ll pretend she didn’t want.

Years behind the camera

Weddings told from the inside

Cities, six countries

Photographs delivered

Off duty

When the cameras are put away

On a wedding day you will spend more hours with your photographer than with your own mother. It seems only fair to tell you who you’re inviting.

The kit

One well-worn camera, one stubborn 35mm lens, and a film camera saved for the quiet moments.

Always in the bag

Sea-salt chocolate, safety pins, and a spare copy of the speech for nervous best men.

Favorite part of a wedding

The letters. Always the letters.

Off the clock

Slow breakfasts, flea markets, and printing photographs nobody asked for.

Kind words

Elena felt like one of our guests, until we saw the photographs.

Amélie & Jonas – Provence

Two years on, the album is still the best money we spent on the whole wedding.
